🚨 The New Age Slavery 🚨


I was reading about a Silicon Valley CEO who recently said things like:
💬 “Literally live at the workplace.”
💬 “Work 6 days a week, till late every night.”
💬 “We don’t care about work-life balance anymore.”

This is modern-day slavery in a suit.

It’s not just Silicon Valley — it’s a disease infecting corporations worldwide.

Another billionaire CEO says:

💬 “Remote work is no longer acceptable.”
The funny thing is, most of those employees are 'knowledge workers'.  

So if employees have to work in the office and not remotely - 
➡️ keep it to 8 hours.
➡️ No emails at midnight.
➡️ No weekend texts.

You cannot have your cake and eat it too — knowledge workers are tethered to work 24/7 when working remotely.


Employees, especially knowledge workers, get emails or texts at 10 or 11 PM at night that they are supposed to respond to. I used to get those.  Additionally, there would be meetings at 6 or 7 AM the next morning, and you are expected to discuss those messages from 11 PM last night !!! This is crazy! I have been there and done that and said 'No. Thank you.'


📉 This destroys families.
📉 This erodes health.
📉 This kills humanity.

Our society should refuse to participate in this toxic #CorporateCulture and we should take steps to eliminate this. Success should never come at the cost of life itself.

If enough of us speak up, the system will have to change.
