Secretly connected: Oneness of All Things
Secretly connected: Oneness of All Things
Have you ever looked at a printed page and wondered — what matters more, the black letters or the white background? Without one, the other has no meaning. This simple observation reveals a profound truth: opposites are not enemies. They are companions, always arriving together — quietly inseparable.
We talk about the oneness of all things, but then again in the world we see what we call "opposites". It is really part of a single, dynamic process.
Up means nothing without down. Light exists only in relation to darkness. Good makes sense only when contrasted with bad. Inside is in reference to outside. You cannot have a coin with only a tail or we cannot have a magnet with only a North Pole....it is all connected ...
The same principle holds in our lives. We chase happiness and reject sadness, not realizing they are two sides of the same coin.
Inside and outside, self and other — they’re always connected. Our bodies don't exist in isolation; they breathe the air, are shaped by food, sounds, sunlight, and gravity.
The "me" and the "world" are not separate — they're one continuous process, like a wave is part of the ocean.
This is the deep invitation of spiritual insight: to stop fighting life's contrasts and start seeing their unity. Not to choose between black or white, but to read the story they tell together.
