During your Meditation session, you might notice thoughts coming into your mind every few seconds. One exercise during meditation is to 'Observe' these thoughts.  

Once you start paying close attention to these thoughts you most likely will notice that a lot of these thoughts are about no other person than YOU!!!

You notice that they usually involve things like ' what I should have said in that past situation' or 'what I should do or plan to do if this other thing happens in the future ' or 'I will tell him or her this thing' or 'I will post this on social media '  etcetera, etcetera... It goes on as a monologue in our heads. 

Also, notice these are always about past or future things and situations but they always involve us (the self ). Even if the thoughts are to become more 'Enlightened' or 'look more enlightened ' than others. It is our protection or self-protection or self-preservation, but this self is the EGO !!!




So getting out of our own way is the way ...it is so important to attain clear meditation and ultimate realization.
