Trip to Japan - Jan 2024

This trip was initially not planned. The trip just happened as I had to stay over to collect my bags because I had a multi-airline separate segments with separate non-refundable tickets booked through MakeMyTrip in India and my flight from DEL was delayed and also the baggage was lost. I stayed in Tokyo for 5 days and did not even attempt to leave the city as the bag could arrive any moment. The trip rather turned into a blessing in disguise as I could do some sightseeing.

The following are the places I visited and the activities I did during those 5 days.

Night-1 stayed at airport

Spent the night at the airport as I was waiting and hoping for the bag to arrive by the next flight. I was so stressed and lost as to what to do next because my accommodation was not booked and I also did not have any onwards journey plan to home in Honolulu.

Spent the next All day also at the airport. By the evening I knew the bag would not arrive and hence in the evening booked and stayed in a Hostel called CITAN. Had Sushi dinner with a couple of local canadian guys I met at the hostel.

Night-2 at Hostel Citan

Next day started doing some sightseeing while still following up with the airlines and airport authorities in Tokyo as well as MakeMyTrip and Cathay Pacific.
Went to 
Nihombashi Shrine.
Walk along - Sights of tokyo, 
Went to a fish market museumt in the area.
Experience at the Team labs
In evening spent time walking around in Asakusa area

Night-3 citan

Tokyo Station area -tourist info- buildings
Ginza district walked around
Tsukiji fish market

Night-4 - Hostel called Nui.

Nezu shrine - otome inari shrine - old town
Tokyo Dome
Akihabara - electric town
